In Wangaratta, between the snow fields and the Murray river, our hotel is located in the midst of some of Australia’s finest producers of wine, dairy and artisan produce.
Very early on, we decided that our hotel must have a restaurant that celebrates the best of our region. We created Atrium with this in mind, and our Executive Chef Chris Connors spends as much time in the field talking to his suppliers, and meeting new ones, as he does in the kitchen turning their produce into fine food.
Chris comes to us after a career that has taken him to celebrated restaurants in Queensland and Victoria. His philosophy is to create a diverse dining experience, based on local ingredients, flavour and seasonality.
The result is a restaurant renowned for excellence in the Wangaratta region, winning TAA Regional Hotel Restaurant of Year 2014 and a finalist 2015 and 2016.
Atrium offers guests a lounge and bar area – just perfect to whet your appetite with a glass of local prosecco or a cleansing ale. The Atrium dining experience can be enjoyed not just in the restaurant space, but also outside on the poolside deck area or in one of our more intimate function spaces.
